The musings and meandering thoughts of a crotchety old man as he observes life in the world and in a small, rural town in South East Nebraska. I hope to help people get to Heaven by sharing prayers, meditations, the lives of the Saints, and news of Church happenings. My Pledge: Nulla dies sine linea ~ Not a day without a line.

Adelaide Cottage ~ the Home of the Prince and Princess of Wales
Adelaide Cottage, the current residence of the Prince and Princess of Wales, is located in the Home Park at Windsor, close to Windsor Castle. Built in 1831 for Queen Adelaide, consort of King William IV, the cottage was designed by Sir Jeffrey Wyatville. The house is a blend of the old and new, incorporating materials from the demolished Royal Lodge. It features a two-storey south wing and a single-storey north wing, with a Gothic-style timber porte cochere and a secluded garden. The cottage served as a retreat for Queen Adelaide and later for Queen Victoria. Over the years, it has been used by various members of the royal family and other notable residents. The cottage's historical significance and picturesque setting make it a charming and important part of Windsor's heritage.

Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Leo XIV as the Vicar of Christ, the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
