Georgiana Cavendish - Devonshire - Lady Di's Ancestor With An Eerily Similar Life


Georgiana Cavendish (née Spencer) was born on 7 June 1757 at Althorp in Northamptonshire and died on 30 March 1806 at Devonshire House in London. She was an English noblewoman and Duchess of Devonshire by her marriage to William Cavendish, 5th Duke of Devonshire. She was the mother of William Cavendish, 6th Duke of Devonshire and the daughter of John Spencer, 1st Earl Spencer and Margaret Georgiana Poyntz. Georgiana belonged to the same family, Spencer, as Princess Diana.
