The Coronation Ceremony - An Introduction to the Rite and Ritual
This is an introductory video on the British Coronation Ceremony, focusing on the history and origin of the rite in late Anglo-Saxon England and the shape and form of the ritual as it has come down to us in the modern era. In this video, I ask a number of questions: How did the coronation start, what are the main elements of the ceremony, what are they for and what do they symbolise?
