I would suggest that he come to Kansas and visit the Cathedral of the Plains, the Minor Basilica of St Fidelis, in Victoria, KS, to which he granted the honour of Basilica status un 2014.
Why? Because when the Volga-Germans arrived in Victoria in 1876, they lived in tents, dugouts, and soddies until they had constructed a fitting home for the Real Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Only after completing the Church did they worry about building permanent homes for their families.
Whilst he's in the Midwest, he might also visit the Northeast in Kansas City, MO. There, it was Italian immigrants who lived in urban squalor until their big, beautiful Parish Churches were built all over the neighbourhood.
This pattern was repeated all over the US. When Catholic immigrants arrived, whether in the large cities of the East or the farmlands of the Great Plains, the first thing they worried about was building their Church. Then. they busied themselves with improving their own lives. They took quite literally the words of Our Lord in the Sermon on the Mount, 'Seek ye therefore first the kingdom of God, and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you.' - St Matthew, 6:33.
Unfortunately, this attitude is totally lacking in the modernist mindset of Francis and his cronies.
