Given the Latin, I think we need look no further than the Benedictus in which Christ is referred to as 'Óriens ex alto', 'the Orient from on high'.

The "O Radiant Dawn" antiphon has references to a few prophecies in the Old Testament.A few days before Christmas the Church presents to us the “O Radiant Dawn” antiphon.
This antiphon is translated below into English.
O Radiant Dawn,
splendor of eternal light, sun of justice:
come and shine on those who dwell in darkness and in the
shadow of death.
This antiphon recalls a few different prophecies of the Old Testament.
The people who walked in darkness
have seen a great light;
Upon those who lived in a land of gloom
a light has shone.
Isaiah 9:1
But for you who fear my name, the sun of justice
will arise with healing in its wings;
And you will go out leaping like calves from the stall
and tread down the wicked;
They will become dust under the soles of your feet,
on the day when I take action, says the Lord of hosts.
Malachi 3:20-21
Jesus is the “Radiant Dawn,” who shines upon the world and brings light to those in darkness.
