Hello, I am a high school student preparing to do research on the large topic of the Crusades. I need to use an interview conducted through email as a primary source for my essay. I enjoy listening to your informative content and was hoping you could answer a few of my questions, which I have posted below.
1. How would you define the Crusades?
2. What was the most significant impact the Crusades had on the states and peoples involved?
3. Who do you view as the most influential figure of the period?
4. What are some misconceptions or lesser known facts about the era?

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday!
