Priests Have “No Credibility” When Preparing People for Marriage – Vatican Cardinal

Scoring brownie points with the boss, eh, Eminence? Anything to undermine the Church of Christ. This bollocks from the Prefect of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life! Rather than having verbal diarrhoea about the credibility of priests doing marriage prep, maybe His Eminence should go back and study some basic theology!

From Gloria.tv

Cardinal Kevin Farrell, the prefect of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, made a fool out of himself talking to Intercom, a magazine published by the Irish Bishops.

Farrell told Intercom that priests have “no credibility” when it comes to training people for marriage because “they have never lived the experience”.

Why did Farrell not have the courage to say that Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar has “no credibility” regarding the family because he is a homosexual? Farrell must also believe that Protestant ministers offer a better marriage training than celibate priests.

The Cardinal went on rambling about “clericalism” suggesting that Pope Francis has fought it by appointing women as consultors at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith which Farrell calls “the ‘powerhouse’ of the Vatican”.

However, today’s Vatican powerhouse is not the Doctrine of the Faith but opportunistic diplomats.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
