Decadent Vatican Wants to "learn" from Decadent Anglicans

I can't say that I'm surprised. I have read several analyses that posit that Francis' plans to destroy the Church include using the model of the dying Anglican Church as a template.

Point by point from the article:

1) It is the structure of Anglicanism and 'the culture of open and frank debate that exists at all levels of the Anglican Communion', that are destroying the Anglican Church. Without a central authority they have descended into being an amorphous mass with no definite teaching. Almost forty years ago, 'Time Magazine' said that anyone from the Pope to Mao Tse-Tung could claim to be an Anglican with no one to gainsay him.

2) Articulating more clearly an "authority of episcopal conferences”, shows what Francis' aims are. Those 'episcopal conferences' in Anglicanism are normally called the independent National Churches of the Anglican Communion.

3) I'm almost sympathetic to 'The inclusion of laity in decision-making structures at every level'. I wonder if Francis and his toadies are aware that it has always been the laity in the Anglican Church that have tried to preserve some semblance of Christianity in their sect, whilst it has been the clergy that have been hell-bent (literally!) on destroying it?

From Gloria.tv

The so called Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission (ARCIC III) has published its first document in 13 years on vatican.va (July 2) .

The text claims that Catholics “can learn from Anglican structures”. The Church should copy “the culture of open and frank debate that exists at all levels of the Anglican Communion”.

According to the document the Church needs to articulate more clearly an "authority of episcopal conferences” [which has no biblical foundations].

It adds that the Church can also “fruitfully learn from the inclusion of laity in decision-making structures at every level of [a dying] Anglican life”.

Since 2008 the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON) has split from the Anglican Communion arguing that a "false gospel" is promoted among the Anglicans. GAFCON unites the young and more dynamic parts of the Anglicans.

  1. Ugh. Actually that was my first reaction - before the more terrifying implications set in. Mean to say more soon ...

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
