In 1988, the Assisi ecumenical prayer meeting rocked the world and signalled a state of emergency in the Church. Forty years later, the State of Emergency has become so integrated into the life of the Church that it's just the new normal. This is why the Society of St. Pius X has announced the consecration of new Bishops with or without Vatican approval. What do you think -- can this be justified?
