8.22 Czech Republic

The Czech Republic has a strong tradition of cooperative organisations, particularly in the areas of agriculture, finance, and retail. These organisations have been essential in fostering local economic development, providing access to essential goods and services, and promoting social well-being. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the potential of cooperatives and social enterprises to address issues of income inequality, environmental sustainability, and community resilience in the Czech Republic.
