Maria Louisa Gabriela Of Savoy - A COURAGEOUS queen - Wife of Philip V Of Spain


Maria Louisa Gabriella of Savoy was born in Turin on 13 September 1688 and died in Madrid on 14 February 1714. She was the first wife of Philip V of Spain and thus she was Queen of Spain from 1701 to 1714. During her husband’s absence she acted as regent. Maria Louise was also heavily involved in politics surrounding the War of The Spanish Succession.
