This Christmas, many of us are facing particularly heavy burdens. So many of us are missing a loved one this Christmas. Many of us are carrying family conflicts or worrying financial burdens.

All of us are concerned about peace in the world, particularly in Ukraine, about the economic and social uncertainty it has triggered, about the health and fragility of our family and friends.

On the other hand, we are all hopeful for the New Year.

The members of the Aleteia family can count on special help in bringing our petitions and our thanksgiving before the Lord. Entrust your prayer intentions to a network of 550 contemplative monasteries this Christmas season.

At the Eucharistic Celebration of the Nativity of the Lord on December 25, hundreds of monks and nuns will place before the altar the intentions that are shared.

We bring you this unique opportunity thanks to coordination with the DeClausura Foundation, an institution dedicated to the support of monks and nuns who have consecrated themselves to God in prayer and work.

This network is based on the promise Jesus makes in the Gospel of St. Matthew (18:19): “If two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.”

Sharing a prayer request with the 550 monasteries is easy. Just fill out the simple form here: https://aleteia.org/prayer-intentions/

If you wish to share your thanks or a testimony of graces received, send an email to monasteria@aleteia.org. (If you wish your testimony to remain anonymous, please state this in your email.)

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
