Rest in Peace, Dad

Today, 3 October, is the 27th anniversary of the death of my beloved Dad, Marion Edward Spiller, who became my Father after the death of my real Father. He was the only Father I knew from age nine. He has been gone now for almost thirty years and I still miss him. I think of him every year, as I watch the Czech Days parade with its tractors. There's always a Poppin' Johnny, Dad, a John Deere Model A, just like the one you taught me to drive.

You are gone but never forgotten.

Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon them.

Memory Eternal!

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
