The History Guy remembers the differences between the deaths of two Queens Elizabeths.
The death of Queen Elizabeth left the people of her realm in shock. She had ruled for so long that few could even remember another monarch’s time. Her death was unexpected, as she had been in robust health, which had only recently declined. She had ruled over a golden age for her people, and was beloved, her loss affecting them greatly. But, what was even more concerning, her death meant danger to the realm, because, unlike the Death of her cousin and namesake some 419 years later, Queen Elizabeth the First had no direct heir, and had resisted naming one.
