Family: A Gift from God!

'The best pro-life message is contained in that picture.

'Sure, the extreme death cult will never be convinced. But for those for whom the message is intended - you have a choice to make: barren and alone as you march through life to your old age ... or this.' - A comment on the original

From Les Femmes

By Mary Ann Kreitzer

I really do have a life besides this blog and I share some of it on my Grandma blog, The View from Camp Kreitzer.

This past weekend, my 75th birthday, offered a generous helping of family love and fun. I was taken out for ice cream on Saturday by seven beautiful damsels and on Sunday all the local families came together for a murder mystery party with a pirate theme, lovingly planned and implemented by three of my children and their families. What a grand event!

We love to pray and play together: Sunday Mass, grace before meals, rosaries around the campfire, and joyful holiday (holy day) and sacramental celebrations.

This Easter offers us the fulfillment of Luke 6:38:

Give, and it shall be given to you: good measure and pressed down and shaken together and running over shall they give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you shall mete withal, it shall be measured to you again.

At the Easter vigil, our son-in-law will embrace the fullness of the Catholic faith, our granddaughter will be confirmed, and our grandson will make his first Communion. I am on notice to make a first communion cake per the seven-year-old's wishes. He remembers the one I made for his older sister.

Thanksgiving was a wonderful day because we had the rare occasion of everyone being together except our married granddaughter and her husband. Since our Texas family doesn't come often, we took the photo op to show the Kreitzer family village -- you know, the village that raises the children. Thank you Lord for every precious citizen!

The "silly face" picture -- Grandma and Paka
figure our normal faces are silly enough!

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
