I would have loved this when the children were small! If you have little ones, or if you're near enough to see your grandchildren, look into these books.

Prior to Christmas I featured a children’s book by Raymond Arroyo entitled The Spider Who Saved Christmas. The book was delightful book that brought to life the forgotten tale of a spider, Nephila, and her chance encounter with Joseph, Mary, and baby Jesus who were fleeing the wrath of Herod. Just in time for Lent and Easter Raymond has penned the follow up to this tale entitled The Thief Who Stole Heaven.
This time around the Child Jesus, Mary, and Joseph encounter a young thief named Dismas. The encounter is brief but significant as it leaves an undeniable impression on the young thief. As time passes the memory of the encounter fades Dismas’ memory until one day the thief is finally caught. Without giving the tale away I will say this. The story ends as the ultimate story of redemption.
As with any children’s book a great story needs illustrations that are just as impressive. This book delivers on both fronts. Much like its Christmas season counterpart I look for The Thief Who Stole Heaven to become a timeless classic that families will enjoying sharing throughout the Lent and Easter season.
