My wife and our youngest daughter are on a road trip into the wilds of SE Colorado to celebrate our daughter's 35th birthday. They had originally planned on going to California to visit our oldest daughter. Then CA erupted into a new CCP virus hotspot. Since our daughter, Nikki, lives with her brother and his immunocompromised wife, that didn't seem like a good idea.
Then they decided on New Mexico, only to discover that NM has a mandatory 14 day quarantine for visitors and that the State Parks are only open to State residents, so that was out, and they finally settled at least tentatively on SE CO. They're camped tonight on their way to Hays, KS to eat pizza and buy cookies (long story! LOL!). After that it's on to CO unless they change their minds.
Please keep them in your prayers for their health and safety on the trip.
As for me, please pray that I stay healthy and don't have an accident or anything else that would require them to cut their trip short.
