King Sigurd's Viking Crusade - The Norwegian Crusade, 1110
Who knew? We all know of the Franks, the Normans, and the Imperial Crusades, but a Norwegian Crusade?
It was led by King Sigurd I Magnusson, called Sigurd the Crusader, a descendant of vikings and the great
grandson of Harald III Sigurdsson Hardrada, who lies in the 'seven feet
of English soil, or as much more as he is taller than other men'
promised him by Harold Godwinsson, Last King of the English His great grandfather has been called 'the last viking'. I think Sigurd the Crusader deserves the title more. He went aviking for Christ! His Crusade
lasted from 1107 to 1111, not long after the First Crusade. It was the
first time a king led a crusade to Jerusalem. From Real Crusades History
