  • 986 – Lothair, king of West Francia died (b.941)
  • 986 – Louis V becomes King of the Franks.
  • 1333 – Wladyslaw I, king of Poland died (b. 1261)
  • 1458 – George of Poděbrady is chosen as the king of Bohemia.
  • 1459 – Pope Adrian VI born (d. 1523)
  • 1484 – The College of Arms is formally incorporated by Royal Charter signed by King Richard III of England.
