Maximus Barker-Leaper, The Household Canine

I haven't posted about Max lately. Not that anything has happened to him, but he hasn't done anything particularly interesting. That is until last night.

The Cuter & Shorter Half had taken him outside 'to do his business'. He wasn't co-operating, so after a bit, she said 'bathroom!' rather sharply, but very quietly. Suddenly, he dashed cross the yard to the end of his leash, barked once, then dashed back. This happened three or four times before she brought him into the house.

She told me about it, so the next time he wanted to go outside, I decided to try it. Sure enough! 'Bathroom' sharply, but in a low voice, almost a whisper, and cross the yard he went, barked once, and back he came.

Both of those incidents were after dark, so today I decided to try it during daylight. Same thing. 'Bathroom', quick dash cross the yard, bark once or twice, and quick dash back.

We have absolutely no idea why 'bathroom' is a trigger word for dash-bark-dash. We've jut decided that our Household Canine is weird, and we'll leave it at that.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
