Off the Menu: Episode 11 - Halloween Special
It seems the Pakistanis were upset with YouTube and managed to crash it. As a result, this is a bit late because I haven't been able to watch the video to comment. If the outage continues. I will still post the videos, if I can access the URL, but commentary will be limited to those excerpts I've viewed and shared. Originally uploaded on All Saints Day 2016, and obviously recorded on or before All Hallows E'en. I believe I've shared, at least, the excerpt on Dragons before. Interestingly, I'm currently reading The History of the Hobbit: Mr Baggins and Return to Bag-End, a scholarly treatment of the manuscripts and typescripts of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. I know it sounds boring, but for a Tolkien fan like myself, it's actually fascinating! It has an in depth discussion of dragons in the writing of that great Traditionalist Catholic author. 1.) Charles's thoughts on Halloween 0:20
2.) Scary Catholic Ghost Stories 3:43
3.) House Spirits 16:52
4.) Did Catholics ever have Wizards? 19:22
5.) Dragons 28:42
6.) Has the Church commented on the paranormal? 33:45
Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
