Lost Splendor: Deposed Monarchs of Europe and the Americas

I strongly suggest that in watching this video you mute the sound! The sappy music chosen does absolutely nothing for the experience!

A good video on the fallen Houses of Europe and America, with the dates of their fall (see below for what he should have said on the dating of the monarchies!) and pictures of the last Monarch of each House.

Whilst his dates are technically correct, they leave a bit to be desired, For example, the House of Habsburg had ruled Austria from 1276, and the Holy Roman Empire from 1440 until its dissolution in 1806 with only two exceptions, both Emperors who were married to the daughters of Habsburg Emperors. The Hohenzollerns ruled Prussia as Dukes and Kings from 1525 until the fall of the Prussian monarchy, the King of which was the German Emperor Wilhelm II. And he neglects to mention the First Haitian and Mexican Empires.

He also does not discuss the destruction of the German monarchies that the Hohenzollerns abolished in their rise to hegemony in Germany, such as Hanover.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
