"Conservative" Cardinal Favours Communion for Protestants

And it spreads! At least the German heretics only want to give Holy Communion to the heretical spouses of Catholics. His Eminence wants to give it to any heretic that he believes holds the Catholic doctrine on the Eucharist. 'Communion' means 'union with'. How does giving the Holy Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Blessed Lord and Redeemer to a heretic show union of any kind? Let the Methodist 'bishop' come into the Catholic Church and then he can be in 'Communion'!

From Gloria.tv

Cardinal Wilfrid Napier of Durban, South Africa, has come to believe after a chat with a "bishop" of the local Metho
dist Church that this person shares "the Catholic Church’s belief and teaching on the Eucharist” - although this is not the teaching of the Methodists.

Napier asked in an email to ncregister.com (April 4) the question, "What good reason would I have for not giving him Holy Communion, if he were to say he needed to receive in order to save his soul?’”

According to Catholic doctrine, a Methodist who comes to this conclusion is obliged by God and his conscience to become a Catholic. Before receiving Holy Communion he needs to go to confession.

Nevertheless, Napier believes that the case of the Methodist leader is what the German bishops had in mind when they [abusively] introduced Holy Communion for Protestants.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
