A New Series on Pope Francis' Statements Against the Faith and Insults Hurled at Catholics of Faith

A series of short posts containing statements Francis has made that are at odds with the Faith of Christ's One, Holy, Roman, Catholic and Apostolic Church, and insults he has directed at others, usually Catholics of Faith as Mr Roger Buck calls us. And all with links to the relevant sources, so I can't be accused of making it all up.

My thanks to the owners of FrancisQuotes.com, The shocking quotes of Pope Francis compared to prior Church teaching, and The Pope Francis Little Bumper Book of Insults from which I have garnered these gems.
Francis:

To participants in the meeting promoted by the pontifical Council for promoting the new evangelisation24, Oct 11, 2017: “Doctrine cannot be preserved without allowing it to develop, nor can it be tied to an interpretation that is rigid and immutable without demeaning the working of the Holy Spirit.
L’ Osservatore Romano, October 13, 2017, pp. 7,11

The Teaching of Christ's Church:

I sincerely hold that the doctrine of faith was handed down to us from the apostles through the orthodox Fathers in exactly the same meaning and always in the same purport. Therefore, I entirely reject the heretical misrepresentation that dogmas evolve and change from one meaning to another different from the one which the Church held previously.” Pope St. Pius X, Oath against Modernism

"Nor do We merely desire that Catholics should shrink from the errors of Modernism, but also from the tendencies or what is called the spirit of Modernism. Those who are infected by that spirit develop a keen dislike for all that savours of antiquity and become eager searchers after novelties in everything: in the way in which they carry out religious functions, in the ruling of Catholic institutions, and even in private exercises of piety. Therefore it is Our will that the law of our forefathers should still be held sacred: "Let there be no innovation; keep to what has been handed down." Pope Benedict XV, Ad Beatissimi Apostolorum (Appealing for Peace), Nov 1, 1914

And, today's insult:

'Self-absorbed, Promethean neo-Pelagian'

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
