The Chevalier points out that whatever Franco may have been, he was not a Fascist!
I disagree with him on only one point. He says that had Franco lost la Cruzada against the Reds, Spain would be like Poland and Ukraine today, recovering from Communist domination. I believe that had Franco lost, Europe would have been lost, and it is quite possible that the Evil Empire would not have fallen in our time.
