St Wenceslaus' Other Creche

Since our Church sits at the end of a road, the Creche I posted Wednesday evening is not in a very public place. However, the Parish owns this bit of ground between the Church and Nebraska Highway 103 which runs north and south through Wilber. So we have two Creches, the one in front of the Church, and this one fronting on the highway, which is very visible to anyone coming into or leaving town. The Magi are off to the right, awaiting the birth of the Christ Child. My hands were obviously cold this afternoon! I thought I had taken three picture of the Creche and three of the Magi. When I got home, I discovered those of the Creche, but I had somehow failed to actually take pictures of the Magi!

  1. It's beautiful. About ten years ago, we purchased a plastic set with just the Holy Family. At that time our home had a big porch with windows, and we enjoyed putting the Holy Family in the window, so that the children in our area could see the little Holy Family shining brightly at night. We have not been able to put them out for two Christmases, but next year hope to purchase a home again, and then we will put them out.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
