With a penitential disposition, kneeling respectively on the left and right of the cross, Martin Luther holds the Bible, source and destination of his doctrine, while Philipp Melanchthon, theologian and friend of Martin Luther, one of the main protagonists of the reform, holds in hand the Augsburg Confession (Confessio Augustana), the first official public presentation of the principles of Protestantism written by him.

  1. Can you imagine. Honestly I don't know what is next. Someone just wrote a great piece, I can't think of who wrote it, I'm reading too much now, but basically it was a call to arms of a sort. I have stopped paying attention to "Cardinal So and So said this" type of thing. Until I see the word "Cardinal So and So said HERETIC" I am uninterested in anything a Cardinal or Bishop has to say. Their mild protestations are so insignificant at this point they are actually more irritating than the silence they have put us through for over four years.

    1. Well, to be honest, somare are standing up for the Faith. Their Eminences Cardinals Burke and Sarah come to mind, as well as solid Bishops like my own Ordinary, but I generally agree with you.

Comments are subject to deletion if they are not germane. I have no problem with a bit of colourful language, but blasphemy or depraved profanity will not be allowed. Attacks on the Catholic Faith will not be tolerated. Comments will be deleted that are republican (Yanks! Note the lower case 'r'!), attacks on the legitimacy of Pope Francis as the Vicar of Christ (I know he's a material heretic and a Protector of Perverts, and I definitely want him gone yesterday! However, he is Pope, and I pray for him every day.), the legitimacy of the House of Windsor or of the claims of the Elder Line of the House of France, or attacks on the legitimacy of any of the currently ruling Houses of Europe.
