Almost everything about the way we take holy communion has changed. The way we prepare for the Eucharist, the age in which we first participate, and what we do after we receive the body and the blood have all changed dramatically. Let’s take a look back in history to see the holy communion traditions of our ancestors. Are we better off with today’s practices? Or was something key lost to time?
